FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything about cropping PDFs with PDFNEO.

How do I crop pages of a PDF for free?
Add your PDF above, drag the resizable box overlay to select your target page area, and click Crop PDF. You can download the cropped document instantly - free, with no watermark.
Does cropping delete the off-page content?
In PDF files, cropping sets the visible boundary (CropBox) without deleting the underlying graphics streams. While this hides the cropped areas in readers, the hidden data is technically still in the file. If you need to redact confidential information, please use our dedicated Redact PDF tool instead.
Can I crop each page differently?
Yes. Turn off the 'Apply crop to all pages' checkbox, select pages individually using the navigation arrows, and adjust the bounding box for each page before saving.
Will the PDF lose text searchability?
No. Page structures and text elements remain fully interactive, selectable, and searchable. Only the viewport boundaries are changed.
Is there a page limit?
No limit. The tool runs on your device, so you can crop large documents up to hundreds of pages based on your device's memory.
